Felixstowe and Haven Ports Seafarers’ Service
The Felixstowe and Haven Ports Seafarers’ Centre is a registered stand alone charity that exists to give seafarers a place to call home, rest and contact family. The Centre welcomes Port Workers and the wider Community and is open from 1000 hrs to 2200 hrs every day of the year managing sites at Harwich and Ipswich Port.
The Centre also serves as a base for two chaplains who are appointed by the participating societies Apostleship of the Sea and The Mission to seafarers.
The Centre runs a mini bus shuttle within the Port of Felixstowe to transfer the seafarers from their ships to the centre and return. Other services includes a foreign currency service with US Dollars and Euros at very competitive rates plus a conference room for hire from Monday to Sunday between 1000 hrs to 2200 hrs – payment by donation – as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
These services are available to the general public – you are always welcome to visit the Centre to see at first hand the work they do.
For further information please contact Anita Mazur, Centre Manager on 01394 673599 or via e-mail to manager@fhpss.org.
